*Try-a Trade Day – Movie World*What a day! Our Building Blocks team welcomed students from Foxwell State Secondary College and Aquinas College, CSQ and World Skills Queensland for our first Try-a Trade Day for the year.The all-female group were treated to a behind the scenes look at what goes into building a world class rollercoaster and ride attraction with fun facts and more as well as trying their hand at plumbing, brick laying and painting. *International Women’s Day - Throwback*Flashback to the incredible AWIC International Women’s Day luncheon! Who else remembers the amazing lolly bars that had us feeling like kids again? It was such a blast celebrating the achievements of women and the next generation of young women and girls.Showcasing this supportive and inclusive network to Bracken Ridge SHS Principal, teachers, and year 12 students who previously participated and supported our Building Blocks program was such an important step to give them the confidence to continue pursuing construction as a career. *Try-a Trade Day – Movie World*Celebrating women in construction extends beyond International Women’s Day as we welcomed students from Foxwell State Secondary College and Aquinas College for our belated all female Try-a Trade day at our latest project at Movie World.Our Building Blocks team were all systems go with CSQ - Construction Skills Queensland and WorldSkills Queensland to showcase plumbing, brick laying and painting to the students with a special behind the scenes tour of the latest ride attraction.The students were also lucky enough to hear from specialist roller coaster installers Vekoma Rides, all the way from the Netherlands.
